We are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to join the team in Applecross. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting multiple retail locations across the region. This is a true generalist position, covering everything from employee relations and recruitment to policy guidance and cultural initiatives—an ideal opportunity for an HR professional looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide managers and employees on HR policies, employment terms, and workplace matters.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
• Support performance review processes, training needs, and employee development initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and escalating issues as needed.
• Assist with updating and maintaining HR policies to ensure compliance with workplace legislation.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support HR reporting and administrative processes.

Who You Are

• A capable HR generalist with 2+ years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role, ideally within the retail sector or a similarly fast-paced environment
• Proven competency in full-cycle recruitment—and comfortable managing multiple vacancies and stakeholder relationships simultaneously
• Solid understanding of Australian workplace legislation, modern awards, employee relations, and HR compliance
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills; able to handle sensitive workplace issues with discretion and empathy
• Highly organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
