Majestic Young Plants is a propagation nursery and horticultural company, supplying wholesale markets both in Australia and internationally with high quality plant material.

We are located in Healesville, Victoria. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced horticulturist/scientist to oversee our laboratory tissue culture program.

Key responsibilities-

Oversee laboratory operations

Assist with nursery plant health and hygiene

Oversee nursery mother-stock for tissue culture initiation material

Relationship management of new and existing suppliers

Drive growth through new program development, of new and existing tissue culture programs

Be willing to adopt and implement a continuous improvement philosophy

Requirements-

Bachelor level qualification in a crop science or plant biotechnology discipline

Experienced applicants of at least 1 year of tissue culturing

Strong knowledge of vegetative and tissue culture production techniques

Plant knowledge and understanding

Experience in horticulture supply chain and procurement.

Laboratory operations experience a necessity

The successful applicant will work in conjunction with our Operations Director and Managing Director, General Manager & Production Manager.
