About the role

Trades Workforce Solutions is seeking qualified Plant Operators experienced in Road Construction to join a 6-week FIFO project in Birdsville, Queensland. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various heavy machinery and equipment in support of a major construction project. This is a project role with a FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) work arrangement.

What you'll be doing

Competently operate and maintain either a Final Trim Grader, a Heavy Roller or a Stabiliser Plant.

Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on assigned machinery

Work closely with the construction team to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met

Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations

Contribute to a collaborative and productive work environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Qualified Plant Operator in the construction industry

Competent in the operation of a variety of heavy machinery and equipment

Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in a remote setting

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Solid work history & excellent work ethic

Commitment to adhering to safety and environmental regulations

Relevant construction industry tickets and licences (e.g. HR licence, high-risk work licences)
