About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Civwil Earthworks & Williamson Partners (Qld) Pty Ltd in Brisbane QLD 4000. In this position you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of construction plant and equipment across a range of civil earthworks, civil stormwater and hydraulic installations

What you'll be doing

Operate construction plant and equipment such as excavators, skid steer, rollers and other machinery in a safe and responsible manner, completing daily tasks.

Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant and equipment

Assist in the coordination of plant and equipment movements on site

Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

Report any issues or concerns with plant and equipment to the site supervisor

Work effectively as part of a team to support the overall construction project

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Plant Operator in the construction and Civil industry

Relevant plant operation tickets/licenses (e.g. excavator, skid steer, roller)

Strong knowledge of construction plant and equipment operation and maintenance

Commitment to safe work practices and environmental sustainability

Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions

Good communication and problem-solving skills
