About the role

The Care Co. is seeking a passionate and experienced Complex Needs Support Worker to join our team in Spearwood, WA. This is a part-time role that will see you providing high-quality, compassionate care and support to individuals with complex needs within the local community.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

Providing support with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation

Engaging clients in meaningful activities and outings to promote independence and social inclusion

Monitoring client health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel

Advocating for client needs and collaborating with allied health professionals to deliver holistic care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, supporting individuals with complex needs. Specifically with PEG feeding and suctioning experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of person-centred care principles and disability support practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care

A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence
