About the role

Stopmaster Brakes, a leading brake and clutch parts provider, is seeking a Spare Parts Manager to join our team in Gateshead, NSW. This full-time role is a crucial position within our organisation, responsible for overseeing the efficient management and distribution of our extensive inventory. As the Spare Parts Manager, you will play a strategic role in supporting the overall operations of our business.

What you'll be doing

Manage and oversee the inventory of automotive parts, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demands

Implement effective inventory control systems, including ordering, receiving, and storage procedures

Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favourable pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts

Provide excellent customer service by promptly fulfilling customer orders and addressing any inquiries or complaints

Supervise and train the parts department team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Analyse sales data and inventory trends to identify opportunities for improvement and make informed purchasing decisions

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to parts inventory, sales, and financial performance

Contribute to the overall success of the business by collaborating with the management team on strategic initiatives

What we're looking for

Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar spare parts or inventory management role within the automotive industry

Excellent knowledge of automotive parts, their applications, and industry trends

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively manage inventory and respond to customer needs

Proficient in using inventory management software, Reckon and Excel

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and the internal team

Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions
