About the role

Kangaroo Disability Services is seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Campbelltown, SA on a casual basis. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote the wellbeing and community integration of clients

Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards

What we're looking for

Certificate III or higher in Aged/disability/Individual support or similar

Current National Police Check

Working with Children Check

NDIS Worker Screening Check

First Aid and CPR certification

NDIS Workers Orientation

100 Points of ID

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in a similar role

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Must be able to clearly speak, read, write and understand English

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to professional development and quality improvement

Training in supporting participants with restrictive practices and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
