About the role

Join the team at Fraser Coast Disability Services Pty Ltd as a SIL Disability Support Worker, providing hands-on assistance and support to participants with a range of disabilities in the Hervey Bay region. This is a casual role, allowing flexibility to work around your schedule. This role may become a permanent role for the right person.

What you'll be doing

Assisting participants with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

Providing support for daily living activities including meal preparation, housekeeping, and running errands

Engaging participants in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote their wellbeing

Documenting participant progress and ensuring detailed records are maintained

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised support plans

Essential- MUST be able to work a 24/7 roster including 6am starts & sleepover shifts.

What we're looking for

Experience providing direct care and support to individuals with complex disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with participants

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

A flexible and adaptable approach, able to respond to the unique needs of each participant

A current driver's licence and reliable transportation
