About the role
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Officer supports the Member and External Communications team to deliver clear, engaging and member-focused communication across digital, print and media channels.

As our Communications Officer, you'll:

• draft, edit and proofread high-quality material aligned with RACGP’s editorial style guide
• develop and deliver communication plans and content across digital, print and media channels
• collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to create tailored, member-focused communications
• support media activities and provide administrative assistance to ensure smooth team operations

Skills and experience

• Strong writing and advanced editing skills
• Ability to simplify complex information
• Proven stakeholder engagement experience
• Skilled at managing deadlines under pressure

For over 60 years, we’ve supported the health system by setting education and practice standards, advocating for GP wellbeing and leading professional development. We deliver training through community-based models, including the Australian General Practice Training Program, to equip GPs for whole-person care.
