SA Power Networks is seeking a motivated and experienced Vegetation Services Manager to lead the delivery of our vegetation management programs. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our operations while driving a positive team culture and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

About the role

As the Vegetation Services Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the financial and operational management of vegetation programs, ensuring compliance with the Electricity Act 1996 and associated regulations.
  • Provide leadership to the vegetation work group, promoting a vision and culture that drives productivity and business success.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to schedule and prioritise work programs that meet business and legislative obligations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and contractors to improve customer service and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and manage contractor performance to ensure work is delivered safely, meets quality standards, and complies with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in vegetation management practices.

About you

We’re seeking a leader who:

  • Has proven experience in managing operational programs, preferably in vegetation management or a related field.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive team performance.
  • Is knowledgeable about regulatory compliance, particularly under the Electricity Act 1996 and its regulations.
  • Excels in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, both internally and externally.
  • Has a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Is skilled in contractor management and performance oversight.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by setting clear expectations and supporting consistent safety practices across Vegetation Services.
