Our client, a leading civil construction company, is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team in the Ryde & Macquarie Park area. You will provide advice and recommendations to senior management, develop procurement processes, and help bring their processes to the next phase.

• Salary up to $160k + super (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on procurement strategies
• Engage with key business stakeholders to facilitate and promote procurement activities
• Develop and implement procurement processes as per organisational needs
• Maintain the principles of procurement probity
• Assess the requirement for formal contracts with major suppliers
• Review spend reporting and market engagement opportunities to drive cost reductions
• Develop strong supplier relationships to support organisational objectives
• Lead Modern Slavery compliance activities
• Promote a positive working relationship with coworkers, suppliers, and partners

About You:

• Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field) and Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
• Proven strategic procurement experience
• High level of commercial acumen with a strategic mindset
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
