Security Systems Technician (Electronic Engineering Technician)

Some of the day-to-day duties will be:

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Assisting with cable installation and identification
• Developing, constructing and testing electronic equipment.
• Installing, testing, verification, repairing and modifying electronic equipment.
• Estimating material costs and quantities
• Evaluating performance of equipment
• Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications, drawings, contracts and regulations.
• Cutting locks into doors and frames
• Second fixing (card readers, locks)
• Installing cable containment
• Installing devices and cable terminations stripping cables, soldering
• Programming of systems

Pre-requisites- Essential

• Current WA Security Installer and Consultant Licences
• Construction White Card
• Working at Heights certification
• Current National Police Clearance
• Full Australian working rights

Requirements:

• Cabling Installers Licence and Endorsements
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards.
• Knowledge of Gallagher preferred.
• Proficient in the installation and maintenance of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Knowledge of network security principles and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
