Security Systems Technician (Electronic Engineering Technician)

Some of the day-to-day duties will be:
- Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Assisting with cable installation and identification
- Developing, constructing and testing electronic equipment.
- Installing, testing, verification, repairing and modifying electronic equipment.
- Estimating material costs and quantities
- Evaluating performance of equipment
- Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications, drawings, contracts and regulations.
- Cutting locks into doors and frames
- Second fixing (card readers, locks)
- Installing cable containment
- Installing devices and cable terminations stripping cables, soldering
- Programming of systems
Pre-requisites- Essential
- Current WA Security Installer and Consultant Licences
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights certification
- Current National Police Clearance
- Full Australian working rights
Requirements:
- Cabling Installers Licence and Endorsements
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards.
- Knowledge of Gallagher preferred.
- Proficient in the installation and maintenance of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Knowledge of network security principles and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
