About the role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Electronic/Hardware Engineer with experience in Altium Designer for schematics and PCB layouts. In this pivotal role, you will manage the entire electronic product development lifecycle, from initial concept to prototyping and seamless transfer to production. You will work on a diverse array of client projects, with a current focus on industrial control systems and IoT data loggers. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and proactive, with a solid background in developing various electronic products. A strong mechanical mindset or skills are also highly desirable, as this role involves mechanical integration using tools like 3D printing and CNC machining.

Skills and experience
Essential:

• Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Electronics & Electrical or Mechatronics)
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in electronic product design and development
• Strong proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout is essential
• A strong commitment to 5S principles and maintaining a tidy, organised workspace

Highly Desirable:

• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes
• Experience with embedded coding (e.g., Embedded C), software development (e.g., Visual C#, Python), or data acquisition platforms (e.g., Labview) is a plus, but not essential
• Experience with mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for product enclosures
