About the role
Reporting to the Professorial Lead, the Senior Lecturer: Laboratory Medicine, is responsible for the development, delivery, and coordination of courses within the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This position will contribute to the development of curricula and will utilise professional/discipline-related expertise to deliver high-quality teaching in Laboratory Medicine and make a significant research contribution in related areas.
The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support the University’s teaching and research outcomes and to carry out activities to maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional activities.

To be successful you will need
- PhD qualification together with associated experience in research and teaching in the discipline area of Laboratory Medicine
- Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and a commitment to contemporary practice within Laboratory Medicine
- Demonstrated ability and experience carrying out teaching activities in courses relevant to professional laboratory medicine practice
- Demonstrated establishment of a program of research that enhances the research profile of Academic Unit
- Demonstrated experience supervising higher degree by research candidates to timely completion
