Position Overview

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a key role in ensuring the clinic runs efficiently. This role combines front desk responsibilities with essential administrative and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner

Manage appointment bookings and schedules

Handle phone calls, emails, and general enquiries

Process payments, Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and private health claims

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records

Support daily clinic administration and compliance documentation

Assist with referrals, marketing, and patient engagement activities

Liaise with health professionals, suppliers, and stakeholders

Provide operational support to the Director to ensure smooth clinic management

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in healthcare, allied health, or similar setting preferred

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

Confident with administrative and financial tasks

Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently

Familiarity with practice management software (e.g., Cliniko) desirable

Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented attitude
