Our client, a family owned Logistics business, is seeking a switched on Administrator to coordinate the maintenance of their Heavy Vehicle fleet.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for providing coordination of maintenance systems, registers and to proactively oversee all compliance provisions and risk management requirements.
Within this role, you will coordinate company maintenance systems and registers, heavy vehicle operators, fleet, reporting, and adherence to legal and company compliance standards. This multifaceted role will ensure that maintenance requirements are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilties include:
- Manage the scheduling of vehicle and equipment maintenance services, ensuring that they are performed within the designated timeframe
- Conduct routine reviews of maintenance records, policies, and procedures
- Manage the maintenance of depots nationally including electrical, plumbing, alarm systems, pest control, fire systems, security and roller doors
- Liaise with suppliers and purchase parts required by the maintenance department
- Ensure the Maintenance record system is updated and all services are documented
- Ensure all services are conducted prior to the due date and prioritise all vehicles and equipment that have passed their overdue service date
- Maintain a register of maintenance department qualifications and certifications
- Ensure all reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner reflecting business performance and maintain an archive of reports
- Support operational staff by directing any queries relating to fault and damage repair, ensuring the repairs are attended to at the earliest convenience
To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Maintenance Administrator/Coordinator capacity
- Have a minimum of 1 years' experience in the Transport and Logistics industry
- Experience dealing with Heavy Vehicles
- Well developed administrative, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise work appropriately and complete tasks simultaneously
- Possess acute listening, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy across all transport functions
