About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in the daily operations of the cafe. You’ll help lead a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily operations, including opening/closing procedures.

Support the Store Manager with staff rostering, training, and supervision.

Maintain high standards of customer service, food safety, and hygiene.

Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.

Ensure cafe displays, service areas, and dining spaces are clean, organised, and inviting.

Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.

Step up and take charge in the absence of the Store Manager.

Contribute to achieving store sales targets and overall performance goals.

Cover barista breaks and assist on the coffee machine when required.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a fast-paced cafe or hospitality environment is essential.

Barista experience is required – ability to confidently prepare high-quality espresso coffee.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once.

Knowledge of food handling and cafe operations.

Reliable, organised, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
