Transport Coordinator

Janus International Australia – We are part of the Janus Group, the world-leading supplier of premium self storage products and specialise in the consultation, design, manufacture, and installation of self storage units across Australia and New Zealand. We are also experts in facility service and maintenance along with automation and access control technology. The company has offices in Brisbane and Sydney, as well as group connections to the USA, Asia, and Europe.

We are looking for a Transport Coordinator who will take ownership to lead and coordinate the operation of goods being despatched to our customers. You will have strong coordination and logistics skills, a customer centric focus and a proactive approach to supporting our internal sales, production and operation/service teams.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Planning & coordinating of despatch, delivery schedules & management of freight bookings.

Coordinating delivery dates/times with internal and external customers.

Tracking loads in transit and communicate & resolve any delivery issues.

Raising freight purchase orders in Business Central & daily processing of documentation.

Instructing and coordinating the despatch of goods from stores for upcoming deliveries.

Scanning goods prior to loading & oversee correct loading and securing of goods.

Assist with monthly stocktakes and month end reporting.

Skills & Experience:

Logistics coordination and load planning experience is essential.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to stay calm under pressure and execute decisions effectively.

Initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and deal with ambiguity.

Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving & organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
