Motor Mechanic

German Tech Auto based in Hallam are looking to employ a full-time Australian trade qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to work in our busy workshops.

Salary $76,550

To be considered for this role you must have;

· Australian Trade Certificate in Automotive Technology.

· 1.5 years experience as a Motor Mechanic in an Australian busy workshop.

· Experience in German & European cars will be a definite advantage.

Duties involved are;

1. Discuss problems with car drivers or vehicle operators to discover faults

2. Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

3. Tune engines using electronic equipment and make adjustments for smoother running

4. Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

5. performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations

6. Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition and electronic fuel injection

7. Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired

8. Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts

9. Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls
