Dental Hygienist in North Sydney - 1 Day/Week, Thursday
$65–$85 per hour

We have a close-knit, supportive team of two dentists, two hygienists, practice manager and skilled support staff who share a passion for helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles and a positive workplace environment.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and caring Dental Hygienist to join our team one day a week – Thursday (8:30 am – 5:30 pm).

No late nights, no weekends.

Potential to add a Friday in the future.

Patient appointments are 50–60 minutes to allow for quality care.

This is a permanent part-time position offering $65–$85 per hour (depending on experience).

Your Responsibilities

Provide thorough, gentle and patient-focused hygiene treatments

Educate and motivate patients on oral health and preventive care

Work collaboratively with our dentists to assist with treatment planning

Draft referral letters to specialists and manage correspondence

Treat patients independently with confidence and professionalism

Contribute ideas and content for the practice’s social media presence

Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to best-practice infection control protocols

Preferred Skills & Experience

3D scanning, CBCT imaging and clinical photography

Clear aligner and teeth whitening procedures

Laser gum therapy

Experience assisting with treatment planning alongside dentists

Familiarity with specialist referrals and documentation processes

Use of loupes/magnification when treating patients (mandatory)

About You

Qualified Dental Hygienist with current AHPRA registration

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with patients

Warm, professional chairside manner with a focus on patient comfort

High attention to detail and strong clinical standards

Experience in a private practice setting preferred
