About Our Practice
For over 40 years, our family dental practice has been proudly caring for the smiles of our local community. Led by a highly experienced and personable female dentist, we are known for our warm, welcoming environment and our ability to make patients of all ages feel at ease.

We are now looking for a friendly and capable Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll combine patient care with clinical and administrative support to help our practice run smoothly.

About the Role
You’ll be working chairside with our dentist, assisting with a wide range of treatments, and helping patients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. You’ll also take care of key administrative and sterilisation duties to keep our days running efficiently.

The position is for three days per week (currently Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) but we are happy to be flexible with days for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

Chairside assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the dentist’s needs

Preparing and sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control standards

Welcoming patients and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit

Managing patient bookings, records, and recalls using Exact dental software

Supporting smooth day-to-day operations in both clinical and reception areas

Assisting with stock control and ordering of dental supplies

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a dental nurse/assistant (preferred, but we will consider those with strong people skills and a willingness to learn)

Friendly, professional, punctual and able to communicate easily with people of all ages

Organised, neat, and reliable, with excellent attention to detail

Confident multitasker who can remain calm under pressure

A team player with a positive attitude and genuine care for patient wellbeing
