About Us
We are a well-established solar based solutions provider business delivering specialised products and solutions to clients across Australia. As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our team.
Role Overview
The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting, demonstrating, and selling specialised solar products and services to clients. This role requires strong technical knowledge combined with proven sales ability to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell specialised solar products and services to clients across assigned territories or markets
Provide technical advice, demonstrations, and solutions tailored to customer needs
Build and maintain long-term client relationships to support repeat business
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets
Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts
Conduct market research to stay up to date with industry trends and competitors
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure products meet customer requirements
Prepare reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market activity
Skills & Experience Required
Relevant qualification in sales, business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (Diploma or higher)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical sales or business development role
Strong knowledge of technical products and ability to explain features to customers clearly
Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of Australian business standards and workplace practices
Desirable
Experience in solar industry is preferable.
Multilingual skills to liaise with international clients (optional)
