About the Marlamanu on-Country Youth Diversionary Program
Marlamanu on-Country Youth Diversionary Program is an Aboriginal-led, community driven diversionary program for at-risk Aboriginal young men (ages 14 to 17) from the Kimberley region. Delivered on the Aboriginal-owned Mt Anderson Station, the program provides therapeutic on-Country residential care for young people who have had contact with the justice system. It aims to build purpose and strengthen the young people’s connection to culture, community, and Country. Participants live and learn on site, engaging in structured daily routines that include practical station work, education, cultural learning, and life skills. Created by and for Kimberley Aboriginal people, Marlamanu aims to empower youth to reconnect with identity, reduce reoffending, and build a positive future.
The Role
Marlamanu is seeking a Principal to play a critical leadership role in delivering education and wellbeing outcomes to participants through immersive on-country experiences that promote cultural identity, positive behaviour change, and educational re-engagement.
