About the Role

As a Child Care Worker at Rainbow Kindy Moss Vale, you will play a central role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities that support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, as well as assisting in the day-to-day routines of the centre.

Key responsibilities include setting up and maintaining learning spaces, guiding positive behaviour, supporting children’s personal hygiene, and supervising both indoor and outdoor play. You will also foster strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in setting up and maintaining learning spaces, materials, and play equipment for daily programs and special activities.

Support children’s positive behaviour and guide social skills development in a nurturing environment.

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Read stories, facilitate group games, and encourage creative play to inspire learning and imagination.

Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and inclusion.

Oversee daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and transitions between activities.

Support children’s personal hygiene practices and maintain cleanliness in accordance with centre policies.

Provide attentive care and supervision for children in line with relevant regulations and service standards.

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Requirements

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

Must have a Working With Children Check

Certificate in Child Care First Aid

Minimum two years’ experience working in an early childhood or preschool setting is required

Bilingual is preferred
