About the Opportunity
The Nursing/midwifery technical team is dedicated to the delivery of high-quality education and student support. Our demonstration wards and quality teaching staff provide practical clinical experience and simulated learning opportunities that are essential to the development of safe and proficient graduates.

We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated and well organised person who is practical and flexible to join our team as a Nursing Technician. As a Nursing Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to meet all technical requirements for practical sessions and nursing related demonstration wards.

About you
You will be required to apply your clinical/and or technical experience and expertise in the use and maintenance of clinical equipment to create a realistic simulated learning environment for the practical nursing and midwifery wards. Experience in operating and maintaining high and low fidelity mannequins is desirable but not essential.

You will have a minimum qualification as an Enrolled Nurse with recent clinical experience, the ability to work independently and in a team environment and have good time management and communication skills, as well as a commitment to WHS regulations.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.
