We are currently seeking an experienced Property or Conveyancing Paralegal to join our team in a permanent full-time role so we can continue to deliver efficient and exceptional conveyancing services to our clients.

While working as part of the team you will also have carriage of your own matters while reporting to the Conveyancing Manager, with oversight by the Partners of the firm. Your typical day may include all aspects of the conveyancing process including reviewing residential and commercial property contracts, drafting letters to clients, liaising with clients, taking new matter enquiries, conducting searches, preparing PEXA settlements, attending settlements locally, assisting with leases, mortgages and other property law matters, providing post-settlement care, liaising with and assisting the team and Partners with property transactions and other tasks to ensure settlements occur on time, every time, for our clients.

Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with your previous experience and how closely you align with the selection criteria. We anticipate remuneration to be in the range of $70,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player with a strong work ethic who thrives under the usual pressures of conveyancing demands and the various deadlines imposed. The candidate will also meet the following selection criteria:

Essential Criteria

We would expect you to have:

At least 2 years full-time conveyancing experience in a similar role in Queensland

Excellent oral and written communication skills

A professional manner with outstanding interpersonal and client service skills including an authentic regard for post-settlement client care

Highly developed time management and organisational skills

A passion for conveyancing and property law

Desirable Criteria

We would hope you have:

Experience with PEXA

Experience with Settlement Adjuster

Experience using Dye & Durham’s Affinity

A high level of familiarity with the Queensland Conveyancing Protocol

Experience in OTP developments

Qualifications as Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations
