Operating from the Sunrise Village in Tuncurry, Sunrise Home Care is proud to deliver high-quality services that support seniors to live well in their own homes, both within the Village and throughout the wider community.

We are excited to share that Sunrise Home Care has recently been acquired by Baptistcare, a respected not-for-profit organisation with a long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional care and support. From 1 October 2025, Sunrise Home Care will officially transition to BaptistCare, opening new opportunities for our people to grow their careers within one of Australia’s leading providers of aged care and community services. The opportunity

Due to business growth, we are looking to increase our team of Domestic Assistants.

A typical day will include thorough cleaning of all communal areas within the facility, including the dining room, residents lounge, and communal toilets. You will be responsible for sorting, washing, and managing laundry duties, as well as performing various cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.

Domestic services are provided to consumers in their own homes, both within the Sunrise Village and in the wider community. Regular checks of store cupboards are conducted to ensure adequate stock levels, with prompt reporting to management for replenishment as needed. Any damages or concerns related to work, health, and safety are promptly reported to management to maintain a safe environment for both staff and consumers.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in the Aged Care Sector or similar

A strong commitment to working with older people or those with a disability is essential

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Current Drivers' Licence and access to motor vehicle with full Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance

Current satisfactory Police Check (less than 3 years old)

First Aid/CPR Certificate is desirable.
