The College is currently seeking positive and supportive Diverse Learning Officer(s) to join our Team to support students with identified diverse learning needs and/or disabilities.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Previous experience in working with and relating to young people
Working with Children Check
Computer skills in office applications and ability to work in a team environment
First Aid Certified
Drivers License
Have a willingness to support the Catholic Ethos of the College, its Marist and Mercy Charism and the Vision of Red Bend Catholic College (please see www. redbendcc.nsw.edu.au)
Be prepared to follow the College’s administrative practices and policies.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
The following qualifications / experience will be highly regarded:
Tertiary qualifications in Special/Inclusive Education; i.e. Graduate Diploma or Masters of Special/Inclusive Education.
Extensive secondary school (Years 7-12) experience in the area of Diverse Learning Support or Special/Inclusive Education
Learning Support or Special/Inclusive Education/Primary Literacy experience across K-6 would be advantageous.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Diverse Learning Officer working in conjunction with the classroom teacher to support the learning objectives and wellbeing of the students they work with.
Diverse Learning Officers are responsible for promoting a positive and secure learning environment
Applicants will be required to have NSW Working with Children Check. Red Bend Catholic College is committed to child safety through the Marist Schools Australia Child Safeguarding Standards.
Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate a willingness to support the Marist and Mercy traditions of the College.
