Are you a skilled machine operator with a passion for precision and quality? We are seeking a proactive Food Machine Operator to join our production team in our modern South Nowra facility. This role requires someone with independent thinking, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining food processing machinery efficiently, ensuring product quality, and supporting your team to achieve production goals. We're looking for an experienced Operator who can set up, run, and monitor production machinery, coordinating closely with the Production Manager and Maintenance Team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Role Outline

• Set up and operate machinery for production in our Gummies area.
• Operate and monitor food production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain GMP compliance and adhere to stringent hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine/process issues independently.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest solutions.
• Work closely with the Production Manager to plan and coordinate daily activities.
• Ensure products meet quality and efficiency standards.

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience as a machine operator with a good working knowledge of mechanical processes.
• Ability to set up and adjust machinery independently (full familiarisation will be provided).
• Physical capability to meet role requirements of standing for extended periods, manually handling heavy items, wearing a face mask to meet hygiene compliance, and working in a production environment.
• Initiative to troubleshoot and identify machine errors and faults.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Team player with attention to detail

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience operating food production machinery preferred – previous experience in Gummies production highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of GMP standards and food safety practices.
• Ability to think independently and make quick, informed decisions.
• Flexibility to accommodate overtime/emergency maintenance as required.
