About the position

As a Travel Electrician or Mechanical Technician within Australian Wind Services you will be responsible for:

Troubleshooting and repair complex problems on wind turbines.

Performing mechanical and electrical component maintenance which will include repairing and replacing wind turbine components as required.

Completing required paperwork including work orders, pre-start checklists, electrical works certificates, SWMS/JSEA's and more.

Exhibiting positive, courteous behaviour with clients, businesses and co-workers.

Using all mandatory safety equipment and complying with all safety and environmental requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines.

Working overtime as needed, some travel may be required.

Completing training as required.

Work is based around the Eyre Peninsula SA however will also involve travel to other site locations within Australia.

About you

A current trade qualification.

Preferably 2-3 years experience working in a trade environment, ideally working with wind turbines or in an industrial mechanical environment preferred.

Ability to work at heights.

A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.

Intermediate computer skills.

Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Positive attitude and approach to day to day duties.

Demonstrated initiative to increase efficiency in operations.

Must be willing to travel to other site locations.
