π Location: Adelaide, SA
π Travel: Mostly Adelaide based, some travel for projects from time to time
π Employment Type: Full-time
π° Rates: $45/hr to $58/hr + OT + Allowances + Super + Annual Bonus, based on experience & performance, plus up to $5,000pa equivelent training & upskilling allowance (internal / external training)
π° OTE (On Target Earnings): $130,000pa to $170,000pa + super, with overtime

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our team. This is not your standard electrical trade role β youβll be working on a wide variety of complex industrial systems, instrumentation, automation, control panels, MCC and switchgear, power systems, asset management and maintenance, process plants, and high-tech projects that go beyond just wiring and installation. What Youβll Be Doing
Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation systems and smart sensor systems
Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, LV power, MCC, automation, control panels and control systems
Working on PLC, SCADA, and IIoT systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning
Installing and wiring process equipment, motors, VSDs, industrial networking and radio telemetry equipment
Conducting fault finding and diagnostics on industrial control panels, instrumentation, operational networks and automated machinery
Performing electrical installations for process plants, factories, and heavy industry sites
Working on routine single and three phase power requirements for industrial facilities, for power distribution, motor control and protection
Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown support, with a rotating on call roster (Minimum 4 hours double time OT paid, even if only a 1 hour callout)
Working with designers and engineers to assist in the installation, delivery and commissioning for turnkey process plant upgrades and industrial automation projects
Supporting new technology implementation, including IIoT, smart systems, and remote monitoring (training provided)
Assisting in site commissioning, testing, and training of plant operators
Taking pride in high quality electrical & instrumentation work, safe working practices and innovation
β What Weβre Looking For
Licensed A-Class Electrician (SA)
Industrial experience Essential β ideally in process plants, mining, heavy industry, or manufacturing
Sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor control, and process instrumentation
EEHA and Cert IV Instrumentation, or Advanced Diploma - desirable, not essential. Paid training opportunities are available for the right candidate.
Experience with wiring PLC, VSDs, and automation systems (PLC & SCADA programming skills not essential, but a bonus!)
Ability to read, interpret, modify and red-line electrical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings
Hands-on skills in control panel wiring, field wiring, terminations, and commissioning
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
An interest in high-tech industrial automation, IIoT, and smart systems
Willingness to work on a mix of workshop, site, and field-based projects
Willingness to be part of a rotating 24/7 on call roster for maintenance support
Not afraid to get your hands dirty and work independently at heavy industrial sites
