About the Role
Hix Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Technician – Electrician to join our team. In this full-time role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, testing, servicing, and maintenance of fire detection and electrical fire systems across the Greater Sydney Area. You will play a key role in ensuring all systems operate effectively, remain compliant with Australian Standards and regulations, and provide our clients with safe, reliable fire protection solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Fire Service Technician / Electrician, you’ll be responsible for:

Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on fire panels and field devices

Conducting routine maintenance in line with AS 1851 – 2012

Maintaining accurate records and job documentation

Providing excellent service to a diverse range of clients across the region

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after a team player who brings professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to quality. You’ll also have:

A current Australian Electrical Licence

Valid Driver’s Licence and White Card

Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

Experience in fire systems servicing

Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills

Great communication and a customer-focused mindset

A high regard for safety and compliance
