Our Facilities Presentation team are excited to offer a newly created position for an Amenity Cleaning Supervisor. You will be responsible for leading a small, dedicated team in ensuring the city's amenities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for public use.

Your role will involve hands-on work alongside your team, ensuring the cleanliness of public facilities while maintaining high service standards. Your leadership will be key to delivering efficient services, fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on exceeding community expectations.

Other key focus areas are:

Lead and supervise a small team and associated resources in the delivery of a broad range of tasks primarily associated with the cleaning of public toilets and amenities including but not limited to chemical cleaning of surfaces, hosing, toilet tissue replacement, minor graffiti removal and litter pick up.

Scheduling and monitoring of daily tasks associated with amenities cleaning, responding to customer requests, ordering and monitoring the use of team consumables and maintaining appropriate work records.

Support the Facilities Presentation Coordinator in efficient operation of the team, this includes appropriate quality standards of work are established, assisting in staff management and providing operations input into leave requests.

Operate small plant items in accordance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements and all practices align with WHS, quality and environmental controls.

Ensure a high level of customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers, promoting Council in a positive way.

The position will require:

Weekend work as part of a 7-day roster

Travel and/or work across multiple LGA sites

You have proven leadership and supervisory skills, and communicate effectively within a team setting, ensuring collaboration and productivity. You excel at managing tasks and operations within set timeframes, all while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you can work independently and within a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

You will bring:

Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised

Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team in carrying out works and meet required timeframes and standards.

Experience in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and small plants such as high-pressure cleaning equipment.

Practical understanding and application of safety, quality and environmental controls relevant to an amenities cleaning role.

Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
