Our Facilities Presentation team are seeking motivated, customer-focused people to join us in the role of Amenities Cleaner. You will be part of our dynamic and supportive team who take pride in delivering high-quality services to our community. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, with the focus on cleaning and maintaining public toilets to ensure our city’s amenities are clean, safe, and welcoming.

Other responsibilities include:

Operating small plant and equipment

Using field technologies, including tablets

Collecting and replacing used sharps containers

Reporting potential public safety hazards

Completing administration tasks related to the role

Conditions of Employment include:

Rotating roster with some commencing times from 4:00am – 6:00am

Weekend work

Work across multiple LGA sites

You are a self-motivated and committed team player who also works confidently and effectively as an independent worker. Your communication skills and customer focus enable you to build positive relationships with our community while contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming city.

Specifically, you will have:

Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, perform duties in a reliable and enthusiastic manner, working as an individual and in a team environment

Proven ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment

Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service

Proven literacy and numeracy skills and computer skills, including the use of field technology such as tablets

Understanding of environmental controls relevant to the role

Class C Driver’s licence

Experience in the use of small plant and equipment such as high-pressure cleaning equipment

Competitive salary from $58,018 to $67,426 a year plus 12 per cent superannuation

Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
