Kindred Early Education is a calm and friendly early learning environment and kindergarten with a holistic approach to early childhood education in Morningside. Our service is a small independent and family owned service, rated exceeding. We are proud of our professional and stable team, where children and our team are prioritised.

Our kindergarten teams of highly competent and experienced early childhood teachers and educators would love to work with someone creative, fun and professional, to nuture and inspire our kindergarten children.

The service is a child safe organisation and we strongly uphold our child safety policies and procedures. We support and emphasise the rights and best interests of the child as paramount.

At Kindred Early Education, you will also work with a team of 4 fully qualified early childhood teachers across the service and access a culture of training, learning and support. Our early childhood program is thoroughly planned and well resourced. You will also have access to sector leading programs, such as our intergenerational program, which has been run with Griffith University and our accredited bush kindy program.

The successful applicant will:

plan, organise and conduct activities to help early childhood students to develop a wide variety of skills including speech, reading, writing, motor skills and social interaction;

teach the basics of numeracy, literacy, music, art and literature to early childhood students and promote students' social, emotional, intellectual and physical development;

plan and structure learning in both indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate students' development;

provide a variety of experiences and activities to develop motor skills, cooperative social skills, confidence and understanding;

promote language development through story telling, role play, songs, rhymes and informal discussions held individually and within groups;

observe students to evaluate progress;

observe nutritional health, welfare and safety needs of children and identify factors which may impede students' progress;

discuss and report childrens' progress with parents;

have the ability to work a variety of shifts throughout the week, between the hours of 7am - 6pm in order to meet with families;

attend parent interviews, and staff and committee meetings; and

participate in community and family support programs as appropriate.

Joining the Kindred Early Education Community

Your skills and qualifications must include:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) OR Bachelor of Primary Teaching with Certificate III.

A current Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card.

A minimum of 1 years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher;

A passion for working with children;

The desire to work harmoniously as part of a collaborative team;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Strong computer and technology skills; and

An interest and willingness to participate in excursions (these are run frequently on foot from our service to a variety of local community facilities).
