About the role

This is a full-time Project Estimator/Coordinator role based in Broken Hill, NSW. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and coordinating the delivery of construction projects for Consolidated Mining & Civil. This is a strategic position that will play a key role in the success of the company's operations.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labour, and equipment requirements

Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects

Identify and manage project risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed

Provide regular progress updates and cost reports to the management team

Assist with the preparation of tenders and proposals for new projects

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

Demonstrated expertise in preparing detailed cost estimates and managing construction project budgets

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in the use of estimating software and project management tools

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
