Position Overview:

As our leading hand you will be responsible for working closely alongside our site supervisor in the construction of new class 2 unit developments through all stages from demolition through to completion.

Majority of our projects are for the Land and housing Department in the Design and construction of Class 2 medium density residential units

Duties & Responsibilities

The Employee is required to perform a wide range of tasks including working alongside the site supervisor , but not limited to:

-Handling and transporting building materials, tools, and equipment around the site.

-must be competent operator with telehandler/ manitou and skidsteers

-Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations.

-Coordinate with subcontractors and work closely with site supervisor to ensure that construction plans are followed accurately.

-Adhering to all company policies, site-specific procedures, and WHS requirements.

· Performing a variety of manual tasks on construction sites under direction of the Site Supervisor/ project manager.

-Assisting in the coordination, management, and scheduling of site activities to meet project goals.

-Efficiently managing and working alongside the site labor and ensuring all allocated tasks are completed.

-Reporting any non-compliance or OHS issues to management immediately.

-Monitoring compliance with construction documentation and quality assurance.

-Handling and transporting building materials, tools, and equipment around the site. with telehandler or skidsteers

-Completing work reports and ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) for works completed.

-Operating various hand tools, power tools, and site machinery as directed on a daily basis.

-working alongside and supporting other trades where necessary to ensure project progress.

-Ensuring daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks are conducted and documented.

-Completing site paperwork including inductions, diaries, pre-starts, permits, timesheets, etc., as required.

What You’ll Need:

· Reading Architectural & Engineer plans

· At least 2 years of experience in Residential Building

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, site supervisors, subcontractors and internal team.

· High attention to detail and ability to ensure the projects are completed to the highest standard of quality

· Familiar with construction safety

· Must have a full Drivers Licence
