WANTED: PAYROLL SUPER STAR
We have a labour hire contract available for an experienced payroll officer with the confidence and know-how to bring to life a brand-new payroll offering using Aurion and TechOne for a small federal government agency.
Taking on this brand-new role will take an experienced operator who can confidently act as the key point of contact between the finance team and their outsourced payroll provider, ensuring that payroll runs smoothly. Your knowledge and expertise will be needed to highlight ongoing improvement initiatives, bringing ideas to the table to tweak and polish processes to ensure payroll is delivered on time, is accurate and compliant with all legislative requirements.
What will you be doing exactly.
Coordinate fortnightly end-to-end payroll including new hires, terminations, leave entitlements, and salary adjustments with HR and your outsourced payroll team. Acting as first point of escalation for complex payroll queries and provide expert guidance and resolution.
Ensure all payroll processing events are completed on time and pays are processed according to schedule.
Assist in the maintenance of employee payroll records. Interpret and apply relevant legislation, Awards, enterprise agreements, and policies.

What are we looking for?
Australian citizens who have experience in end-to-end payroll processing in medium-sized organisations (100-200) and ideally in an outsourced arrangement.
You will need to have exceptional numerical and analytical skills and be able to draw upon your knowledge of the required legislative and regulatory frameworks. You will also be able to demonstrate a depth of understanding of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and Awards.
Finally, experience with Aurion and TechOne would be ideal!
This role will be available in a hybrid arrangement and while the ideal outcome would be to have someone Canberra-based, the role could be accommodated in Sydney.

You will receive an hourly pay rate of between $60 - $69 (includes casual loading) plus super and receive weekly pay.
