High impact sales leadership role with ownership and influence
Based on Sunshine Coast, $150k-200k + Super + Target Driven Bonus
Our client has delivered profitable performance for over a decade as a trusted player within the electrical solutions design and distribution space servicing clients across the infrastructure, utilities and manufacturing sectors. They’ve built a reputation of reliability, technical expertise and genuine partnership with a clear intent of realising 4X revenue growth and 25% EBITDA by 2030. As part of their growth journey, they are keen to recruit an experienced sales executive capable of leading and mentoring a team (Key Account Managers, Internal Sales and Technical Sales Support professionals) to deliver revenue and business growth targets in line with strategic goals.
We seek an individual who thrives on being a leader and an exceptional team builder, not just by setting targets but by hiring the right people and providing them with the tools, training and support to get there. You have the maturity and gravitas to step into major deals and accounts when it counts and can demonstrate running a disciplined pipeline, spot problems before they become roadblocks, and know your numbers inside out. You have a “no surprises” mindset, with an authentic and straight-talking communication style that inspires trust and can drive growth through accountability, process and meaningful relationships.
Responsibilities include:
Setting sales targets and strategies, market priorities and segment focus for the next 1-3 years
Own, build and grow the sales pipeline from new lead generation through to closing, across both new business and key account growth
Analyse win/ loss data, margin performance and market knowledge to spot new opportunities, untapped markets and ways to cross sell or upsell to stay ahead
Use NetSuite CRM as the single source of truth, monitoring activities, conversion rates, and pipeline health in real-time.
Recruit, lead and develop the sales team of key account and business development personnel (13-15 staff) utilising a Sales Playbook
Run weekly team meetings & 1-2-1’s to set and review team/ individual KPI’s and pipeline reviews
Create and deliver sales, product knowledge, consultative selling, negotiation, and account management training
Identify future leaders and invest in their development with clear career pathways.
Deliver clear, actionable reporting on team performance, major deal progress, market risks, and competitor activity to the ELT.
Being visible in the market at key industry events, client functions, and trade shows
What you bring:
Minimum 5 years in B2B sales leadership: ideally in industrial, technical, or electrical product supply.
Direct experience building and running high-performing sales teams, including hiring and managing underperformance.
Hands-on pipeline management and CRM (NetSuite or similar strongly preferred).
Commercially savvy: you understand pricing, margin, deal structure, and what drives business value.
Strong written and verbal communication: clear, direct, and credible with both owners and clients.
High standards, no nonsense, values relationships and long-term success.
