GEM Geophysics are based in WA and conduct a variety of ground Electromagnetic (EM) surveys targeting mineral discovery of conductive sub surface and deep cover anomalies. Such as Ni-Cu-Co sulphide deposits that are significant resources in the world's drive for clean energy.

Field Assistant position

About the role

2-4 person team

Operate geophysical equipment in line with procedures

Maintaining high safety standards

Daily project reporting using cloud based software

In-field logistics and equipment management

Ride/ drive survey vehicles to conduct EM surveys using GPS

Provide regular and general maintenance to the vehicles to ensure the survey runs smoothly from start to finish

Surveys have an approximate 2-3 week timeframe

Staying on mine sites, in regional towns/hotels or in camp/ caravan style accommodation

FIFO/DIDO from major cities or regional centres across Australia

Essential criteria

Proven Geophysical field assistant experience preferably EM surveying

Perth based

Available for immediate start

Able to work away remotely

Work well with others as a collaborative team player

Use your initiative and can work independently

Prioritise your own and others safety

Physical fitness

Able to pass regular medicals plus random drug and alcohol screens

Unrestricted C Class manual driver's licence

Mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance skills

Provide First Aid & CPR certificate

Current National police check within 3 months

Side by side utility/ ATV vehicle certification

4WD certification
