About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects, from the initial ideation through to completion. They coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with positive outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.

Salary/wages

$150-180k

Relocation and signing package of up to $15,000 paid at successful completion of probation period

Where you'll be working

Based at our head office in Newcastle NSW and visiting our many projects across Australia and New Zealand.

You will be required to relocate Newcastle within 6 months of commencing this role.

Hours/days

Ordinarily, you will work Office hours at our head office , Monday to Friday, with occasional visits to the site, adhering to site operation times.

Main duties and responsibilities

Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, standards, and procedures.

Take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, including the development and management of a project budget and schedule with relevant milestones, deliverables, and dependencies as outlined in the contract.

Ensure all legal, commercial, and financial requirements of contracted projects are met or exceeded.

Deliver timely reports on project performance against the schedule and budget to management and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all contractual reporting, invoicing, and management of cost and time variations, in accordance with contract conditions.

Prepare tender documentation and submissions, including scope definition, budgeting, technical input, and contract negotiation

Lead procurement activities and subcontractor management, including the evaluation, selection, onboarding, and oversight of vendors and subcontractors

Select and mentor key project team members.

Collaborate closely with company directors on general business development initiatives.

Experience and qualifications

Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably in solar farm construction

Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Strong contracts management skills

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Proficiency in MS Office and project management software (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Microsoft projects, Primavera P6).

A degree or certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
