About the Role:

We are currently seeking dependable, empathetic, and flexible Casual NDIS Support Workers to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide practical and emotional support to participants in accordance with their individual NDIS plans. Your assistance will help clients build life skills, access the community, maintain their independence, and live with dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care including assistance with showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene needs.

Support with daily living tasks, such as meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, light household cleaning, laundry, and mobility.

Facilitate community participation and social inclusion, including attending events, activities, or appointments.

Assist with transportation, including driving participants to and from community outings, medical appointments, or other scheduled activities.

Support the development of independent living and life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, or communication.

Accurately document and report on the participant's progress, changes in needs, and any concerns, in line with organizational and NDIS guidelines.

Work collaboratively with participants' families, carers, health professionals, and other members of their support team to ensure cohesive and consistent care.

Respond flexibly and sensitively to participants’ individual needs, preferences, and routines.

Uphold participants’ rights, dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking individuals who are not only skilled but also genuinely passionate about making a positive difference. You will be someone who is reliable, respectful, and responsive to the individual needs of people with disability.

Essential Requirements:

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

National Police Check (current or within 12 months)

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Current First Aid and CPR certifications

Manual handling/administer medication/completed NDIS modules.

Valid Australian driver’s license and reliable, roadworthy vehicle

Proof of the right to work in Australia

Access to a smartphone and ability to use apps for documentation and communication

Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Desirable Attributes:

Prior experience in a similar role or within the disability/community care sector

Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, Aged Care, or similar

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support others

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Commitment to professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical conduct
