Our team maintains the Midwest Gascoyne area and surrounding regions, currently employing 50+ local staff! Catwest operates a Benninghoven continuous asphalt serving our team and external customers. We’re expanding our operations, and we need skilled people to join our growing team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our asphalt plant. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality asphalt production for both internal projects and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor all aspects of asphalt production equipment.

Ensure consistent quality control of asphalt mixes.

Perform daily plant inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.

Safely manage stockpiles, raw material feeds, and loading processes.

Accurately complete production reports and compliance documentation.

Collaborate with supervisors, truck drivers, and yard teams to ensure smooth operations.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as an asphalt plant operator or in a similar role.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues.

A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Current driver’s license (HR/HC license advantageous).

Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends as required.
