About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support our engineering and property development team with the preparation of high-quality technical drawings and plans. This role involves working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver drafting services that align with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and documentation for civil and industrial projects.
• Assist engineers in the design and development of roads, drainage, subdivisions, and estate infrastructure.
• Interpret technical specifications, survey data, and engineering calculations to produce accurate designs.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of drawings and documentation.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineers and stakeholders.
• Maintain drafting standards, CAD libraries, and version control across projects.
• Support site inspections and contribute to project reporting when required.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar environment in a civil engineering drafting role.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and survey information.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering design principles and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• AQF Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering Drafting or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and local council requirements.
• Experience with BIM or 3D modelling software (advantageous but not required).
