OSHC Contract Type: Casual

Qualified and unqualified Out of School Hours Care educators needed for a large, friendly, school-based OSHC service in the inner northern suburbs - St Paul Lutheran Out of School Hours (SPLASH).

A wide range of qualifications suit the qualification requirement and you can check your qualification at https://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications/nqf-approved. This includes:

First two years or more of a four-year undergraduate teaching qualification

Diploma in education, care disability, behavioural and social science, community service, health, allied health, youth work, sport and recreation or creative arts

Cet III or IV in education, care or disability

Others listed on the ACECQA website.

Unqualified educators must meet the requirements and criteria below.

Role Requirements:

An approved qualification for working in an Education and Care setting in South Australia (for qualified OSHC positions only)

Ability to work in a positive and collaborative environment for all educators, children and families

First Aid certificate or ability to acquire

Current Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training or ability to acquire

Working with children check

Food Safety Handling training or ability to acquire

Key Criteria: The successful applicant must have

Ability to work within compliance requirements

Capacity to work collaboratively with a staff team

A demonstrated passion for, and commitment to, play-based learning

A committment to working in child safe environments

An understanding of proactive wellbeing practices that support primary-aged children or willingness to learn

Previous experience in OSHC or ability to learn and take direction

Be available to work both during the school term and during vacation care
