OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Facilities Contract Manager supports the facilities and security departments with contract management activities and will be responsible for managing and administering multiple service contracts and support the 24/7 operations at the Gallery. Supporting contract compliance, procurement, contract mobilisation and ensuring that contractors’ deliverables are aligned with the contract statement of works. Managing our contracts will be central to effectively delivering value for money. You will report to the Manager, Building Services and the position will be located in the Building Services and Infrastructure portfolio, Facilities Management Department.
THE KEY DUTIES OF THE POSITION - WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In accordance with the APS 6 work level standards, you will:
Achieve results through application of contracts management practices and reviewing performance to identify areas for improvement. Monitor contracts and adjust plans as necessary to achieve positive outcomes.
Support productive working relationships by actively listening, recognising others’ contributions and fostering a positive workplace culture. Leads by example and provides subject matter expertise support to team members.
Support the delivery of excellent facility maintenance outcomes through the effective management of a range of building services contractors. Provide constructive and regular feedback and manages under-performance proactively.
Display personal drive and integrity, takes personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work. Shows commitment to learning and self-development.
Communicate with influence, presents information in a clear, concise and articulate manner. Approaches negotiations with the understanding of key issues and is clear on the desired outcomes.
Support strategic direction and clearly communicates goals and objectives to others and keeps self and others well informed on work relevant issues and stays abreast of best practice approaches.
Offer contract management advice and mentors other team members and support Gallery policies and procedures.
Available to support the Facilities after hours on call roster.
ELIGIBILITY:
Citizenship - To be eligible for employment with the Gallery, you must be an Australian citizen.
