Aidan is a fast-scaling Sydney-based, remote-first startup on a mission to transform how service-based businesses engage leads, automate admin, and scale growth — powered by conversational AI.

Born from deep experience in fitness and franchising, we saw the same problem everywhere: service teams losing revenue to slow follow-ups, manual processes, and inconsistent communication.

Our solution? A 24/7, human-trained AI voice and chat agent that handles inbound/outbound calls, reactivation campaigns, onboarding, and admin. Already, we’re delivering up to 80x ROI for clients in fitness, wellness, and real estate — and we’re just getting started.

We’re now scaling fast and looking for a Head of Technology to lead the charge in taking Aidan to the next level.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a technical leader who thrives in high-growth environments and wants to combine hands-on building with strategic leadership.

As Head of Technology, you will:

Own and evolve Aidan’s technical vision, strategy, and roadmap

Lead and grow a small, high-performing engineering team

Oversee architecture, infrastructure, performance, and security

Stay hands-on in the code (especially across AI, integrations, and platform development)

Drive engineering best practices, deployment processes, and technical culture

Partner directly with the CEO and product team to deliver rapid, high-impact releases

Join client-facing meetings to present on performance and success metrics

You’ll be shaping the foundation of a category-defining AI business — with massive ownership and influence from day one.

Our Tech Stack

Backend: Django API (AWS ECS), PostgreSQL (RDS), Python for automations/integrations
Frontend: React / Next.js 15 / TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, deployed on Vercel (multi-tenant white-label support)
AI & Automation: In-house AI voice/chat platform, prompt engineering, GoHighLevel for workflows
Infrastructure: Stripe (billing), Twilio (telephony), CRM & platform integrations

What We’re Looking For

We’re after a rare mix: a strategic leader who’s still deeply technical and thrives in fast-moving environments.

Proven track record in engineering leadership (startup or high-growth SaaS ideal)

Deep hands-on expertise with Django/Python, AWS, and modern front-end frameworks

Experience designing and scaling cloud infrastructure

Strong product sense and ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A bias for action, entrepreneurial energy, and ability to lead lean teams

Bonus points for:

Experience with AI voice/chat platforms or conversational agents

Familiarity with GoHighLevel or similar marketing automation tools
