Are you a psychologist looking for a private practice that truly values neurodiversity, celebrates individuality, and supports you to be the best version of you?

About Us

Located in Aspley on Brisbane’s Northside, Arena Health Solutions is a neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIAP+ inclusive, and transgender-safe psychology practice offering a range of evidence-based services across South East Queensland and Australia. At Arena, we live our values. We are genuinely passionate about diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety, and welcome all humans into our space. Our Therapy Dog-in-training, Theodore, brings a welcoming energy to our practice and reminds us what true acceptance looks like.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a registered psychologist (general or endorsed) who truly values neurodiversity and wants to contribute to creating a psychologically safe workplace, for our team and our clients.

We offer part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Full-time caseloads are 24 sessions per week, with flexibility to structure your week to suit your needs within agreed practice guidelines.

Your Role

As a psychologist in our practice, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychosocial interventions in a supportive private practice setting. While your caseload will primarily consist of adults, there is also the opportunity to work with adolescents aged 15 and above.

You are an AHPRA-registered psychologist who is values-driven, committed to delivering affirming and evidence-based care, and motivated by improving outcomes for your clients.

Our client base is diverse and includes NDIS participants, DVA card holders, private clients, Medicare referrals, WorkCover, and EAP clients. This variety allows for a rich and rewarding clinical experience, with flexibility to shape your caseload around your interests and strengths.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for a psychologist who brings:

Experience in neurodiversity-affirming practice, with skills in supporting autistic clients, ADHDers, AuDHDers, and others with neurodevelopmental differences.

Experience in providing inclusive, evidence-based therapy to sex and gender diverse clients.

A strong understanding of NDIS, Medicare, DVA and WorkCover requirements.

Proven ability to deliver high-quality assessments and evidence-based interventions in a private practice setting.

The capacity to apply contextual ethical reasoning in line with professional and legislative standards.

A commitment to working with integrity, ethical awareness and compassion, supporting vulnerable people to meet their goals.

Ability to engage in ongoing self-reflective practice and professional growth.

Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong time management and organisational abilities.

Why work with us

Flexible working arrangements – choose client hours that suit your needs within agreed practice guidelines; part-time available.

Professional development – annual CPD fund aligned to your learning plan.

Supervision and peer support – regular individual and group supervision, and peer consultation.

Mental health support – annual Mental Health Fund to help you look after you.

Competitive remuneration – because life can be expensive.

Capacity to niche your caseload – work with clients you enjoy.

Neurodiversity-affirming space – because acceptance matters.

Work alongside Theodore, our therapy dog-in-training – bringing joy and unconditional acceptance.

Supportive, collaborative environment – because work should be enjoyable.

Required Checks and Scope of Practice Preferences

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist (general or endorsed).

Medicare Provide Number, or eligibility to obtain one.

NDIS Worker Screening Check or eligibility to obtain one.

National Police Check.

Full working rights in Australia.

Completion of neurodiversity affirming practice training preferred.
