We’re proud to offer 24/7 services to NDIS participants who have an interest in animals, gardening, farming, fishing, or learning new skills. The Role: Residential Respite Personal Support Carer
We’re looking for two dedicated Residential Respite Personal Support People to join our team as we are looking to grow!

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of participants with disabilities, including children.

As a Personal Support person, you’ll work 30+ to 40+ hours a week, covering both day and overnight shifts, weekdays and weekends. This role starts as a casual position with the potential to transition into permanent part-time or full-time work. We’re committed to providing stability and continuity for our participants, so looking for supports who share this commitment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting participants with disabilities develop essential life skills (and advanced skills)

Supporting in building positive routines

Encouraging personal growth

Personal Care

Swimming and/or water Support

Administration Duties required for record keeping and compliance

General Household Cleaning as this is a respite live in facility you will be required to ensure the space is always kept clean and tidy.

You'll help people thrive in various aspects of their lives, from attending school to participating in the community, and of course, enjoying the simple joys of farm life.

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in disability support

Experience working with children with disabilities (or lived experience is highly regarded)

NDIS Worker Clearance

National Police Clearence

WWC – Working with Children Check

Senior First Aid Certificate

Current Driver's License and Reliable Transport

Reliable and Honest

Experience implementing & understanding PBS principles

Desired (but not required)

Minimum Certificate III in Disability Support, Individual Support, or Community Services

Expectations

Ability to work 2-day shifts {approx. times} (10am-7pm) and 2 overnight shifts (7pm-10am) minimum, with flexibility for weekend shifts as required.

Willingness to engage directly with animals as this can be an integral part of the role, so comfort with all animals is a must!
