About the Role:
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others and is committed to delivering support with dignity, respect, and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, person-centred support to individuals in their homes and the community
Work confidently with individuals who may display challenging or aggressive behaviours
Follow behaviour support plans and apply de-escalation techniques when needed
Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, domestic tasks, and meal preparation
Support clients to achieve their personal goals, develop life skills, and participate in social/community activities
Encourage and promote independence, choice, and inclusion
Ensure client documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Follow individual support plans and maintain professional boundaries at all times
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
Report incidents, concerns, or changes in client needs to the appropriate personnel
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and incident reports
Uphold NDIS Practice Standards and contribute to a safe and respectful environment
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times
What You’ll Bring:
A genuine passion for helping others and improving quality of life
Previous experience in disability support or a similar care role
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (or working towards)
A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Excellent communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude
Reliability, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
